Wedding quilt #5? 6?

Based on the invitation design. I enlarged it, and made it via
threadpainting and reverse appliqué. First time doing either. Self-
taught. I definitely learned some things... Next time I'll do regular
appliqué with fusing... WAY easier!

calls this his flower quilt. Still not sure why...

It's from a kit, and then I made my own quilt-fuse by drawing a grid
on featherweight interfacing.
My first time doing watercolor quilting though... So cool and so fun!
About 2 hours of work and an awesome result! Good thing I didn't have
to cut all the little squares!

my wagamama re-cover

I just loved this print sooooo much, and since it was only $3/yd, I had to use it... I wish it matched my daughter's bedroom, I'd do her whole room with this print in a flash... as it is, I'm trying to figure out how to convince my DH that it's not too girly for our room... maybe if accented in hunter green...?
Anyway, I bought (and love) my Baby Zabu by Wagamama Baby, but I bought a gender neutral one, so that if/when #3 comes along, it can be reused regardless of gender... but my little girl needed something girlier, she's so cute in floral! So I traced the pieces of the original and made this one... I LOVE it... Cotton print with thin-wale cotton corduroy... LOVE LOVE LOVE (and so do my kids!)

D's Bug Pants

these were version 2 of my homemade pants... Since D is older and taller, I have been enlarging the pattern over the past 2 years, but this round I added cargo pockets on the side. This way the pants are still reversible, front to back, but D can store important trains/cars/I-don't-want-to-know-things in his pockets...
This time around he chose Bugs, shown here; Crabs (see above); and Ladybugs. I also made him some solid-print linen pants in natural linen, navy, and light blue... DH says he needs some pants that don't look like pajamas... Why is it that fun kids-pants are only allowed to be worn to bed?

I make D a LOT of pants, but here's the latest variant..
I altered my pants pattern to have a front and a back (most of my pants are the same front/back to make it easy for my two-year-old to put on his own pants... he's almost 3 now, so I decided he could handle the challenge of finding the front...), and he LOVES pockets now, so I had to add pockets.
I love all things vintage, but don't want him to look like he's in a silly costume... I also really like a lot of Oliver +S's patterns, but I always want to tweak them, so rather than buy and modify, I came up with this one ALL BY MYSELF!
I'm super proud of that, 'cause it's my first ALL BY MYSELF pattern-to-garment ever.
(my mom helped me make my wedding dress, and all previous solo-tweaking was based on store-bought patterns).
I'll post pics of my little dude in these as soon as I can get them on him in the morning!
